About Me
Hello! I’m Amanda Da Cunha, a certified personal trainer, yoga instructor, and health coach originally from Brazil and now based in New York City. My main focus is helping individuals achieve a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. I struggled with weight management throughout my entire childhood and adolescence, but through education and proper training, I discovered the transformative power of fitness and was able to lose 70 pounds.
When I was 14 years old I took my first yoga class at the YMCA and I was hooked. After many years of practice I finally took the step to become a certified yoga instructor in 2019. During this time I was also learning a lot about strength training and became a certified personal trainer with the National Council Of Strength and Fitness. I went on to work at Equinox for three years, gaining expertise in program design, injury prevention, and corrective exercises.
In 2022, I started my own private business to offer clients a more personalized and holistic coaching approach. My business has grown into a full-time occupation, and my top priority is building strong relationships with clients and providing them with valuable information and guidance. My coaching style emphasizes the mind-body connection and promotes sustainable lifestyle habits for overall well-being.
On November 2023 I completed a 300-hour yoga teacher training through CorePower Yoga and am now a 500-hour certified yoga instructor.
